Hi!
My name is Cliff ā Iām from Ventura, CA.
I decided to pursue the premed path my first year in college, and confirmed it was indeed the path for me via a few different experiences. I obtained a B.S. in Physiological Science at UCLA, worked in 9-1-1 EMS, and did clinical research in the emergency department. I took 2 gap years working in public education and volunteering at a nature conservancy 501(c)3 and bicycle shop. I then started med school at UCI in 2022. In med school I've gotten involved with a bunch of projects: medical student government, radiology research, community outreach events, tutoring, and teaching workshops. Med school and undergrad aren't all academics and work though -- it's always been important to me to continue activities outside of medicine. I enjoy long distance running and cycling (currently training for my next marathon)! I'm a huge fan of TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, and enjoy playing + DMing games. The great outdoors also gets a big thumbs up from me -- I am hoping to visit new State/National parks next season. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in any of the above! I also love talking MCAT study plans or strategies, feel free to ask or walk through your plan/questions. There's a lot to this whole med school pathway, but I believe it can be broken down into manageable chunks as we learn and grow as a person :)
